One of my favorite times of the year as you get many crushable pale ale and pilsners during these months. However, one of my favorite beers (outside of stouts, of course) is Saisons, as I absolutely cannot get enough of them during the summertime. Especially now that this heatwave grips most of the northeast, beer is always light, refreshing, and flavorful. Saisons typically have that cloudy golden hue; however, I have found a few that have an amber color, as pictured below. Most saisons are also called farmhouse-style ales and possess fruity and spicy flavors, ranging from 5 to 8% ABV.
My first foray into Saisons hell, even into craft beer for that matter, was an offering from Brooklyn Brewery the Sorachi Ace. As I instantly fell in love with the lightness and lemon taste, and funky finish. Some of my favorites Saisons are:
Saison DuPonte from Brasserie Dupont (which is the OG of Saisons)
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace
La Monuese (Pictured below)
Casey Brewing & Blending Jammy
Bokkereyder Zommersaison
Boulevard Tank 7
Brew Gentlemen Mise En Rose
